There are four pieces of Genji Gear in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, each of which grants its wear a unique buff. Obtaining them all will make Zack a true force to be reckoned with, but doing so isn’t exactly easy. A great deal of the game needs to be completed for Zack to get the option to obtain these accessories, and though it can take some time, they are worth the pursuit.
What Does The Genji Helm Do?
The Genji Helm may not be the most powerful piece of Genji armor in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, but it’s hard to deny how useful it can be. When equipped, it allows Zack to freely use Magic Materia and Command Materia without expending any MP or AP. It also activates Libra, a handy effect that lets players see an enemy’s HP and MP.
Where To Find The Genji Helm
The Genji Helm must be purchased from a shop. The only way to access this shop; however, is to complete the Rank 10 M9-5-4: Abnormal Power mission. Doing so will grant Zack access to the Online Shop Shade Address, from which he can buy the Genji Helm.
Sadly, the Genji Helm costs a staggering 1,000,000 Gil, so players may need to farm some money before they are able to purchase it. An effective way to make Gil is to farm Gold Rolling Pins by stealing from the Holy Tonberry miniboss in the M9-6-2: The Lowest Tier mission.
Equipping the Mog’s Amulet accessory will increase Zack’s chance of stealing rare items, so players should ensure to equip it before beginning the fight. With any luck, Zack should obtain a few Gold Rolling Pins before the battle is won. They can then be sold for 50,000 Gil a piece.
What Does The Genji Armor Do?
The Genji Armor is one of the best means of defense in all of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. When equipped, it grants the ability Break HP Limit+, a handy effect that permits Zack’s HP to reach 99,999 points. It also makes it so that the Endure and Regen passive abilities are constantly active.
Where To Find The Genji Armor
The Genji Armor can be quite difficult to obtain, even when fully leveled. Acquiring it requires the player to achieve 100% completion in the Digital Mind Wave menu. To do this, each cinematic associated with each image must be viewed at least once. Though this sounds easy enough, the chance of seeing a new cinematic is totally random, but there is a way to speed the process up.

By equipping the required Limit Break Materia, the player will receive a higher chance of activating the Limit Break associated with Materia. Though equipping this Materia doesn’t guarantee that a new cinematic will play, it significantly improves the player’s chances of activating a new one.
What Does The Genji Shield Do?
While the Genji Armor acts as a great means of defense, the Genji Shield goes one step further. When equipped, this shield grants the Auto Guard passive ability, an ability that allows MBarrier and Barrier to remain active throughout the battle. It also absorbs all elemental attacks while granting immunity to all status effects, including Death. This feature alone makes the Genji Shield one of the best means of all-around protection in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion.
Where To Find The Genji Shield
To obtain the Genji Shield, Zack must initiate the M7-6-6: The Determined Recruiter mission and scavenge the area for the Magic Pot enemy. Before accepting the mission, however, the player should ensure to equip Zack with Costly Punch, Gil Toss, Octaslash, and a Materia that allows him to deal 99,999 points of damage.
The best way to find this creature is to activate random encounters until it eventually appears. When it does, it will ask Zack to perform a series of attack on it, each of which can easily be done, so long as the correct Materia is equipped during the battle. Activating Octaslash might prove to be a challenge, but the chances of it appearing can be increased by leveling up the Octaslash Materia. To further increase one’s chances, a few Octaslash Materia can be equipped at once.
What Does The Genji Golve Do?
For those who wish to deal as much damage as possible in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, the Genji Glove is a must-have. When equipped, it permits its wearer to deal more than the typical 9,999 points of damage. Depending on the Materia Zack has equipped, the Genji Glove may permit him to deal 99,999 points of damage to his enemies.
Without this fantastic piece of equipment, it would be extremely difficult to defeat some of the optional bosses in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. What makes the Genji Glove stand out from other damage-breaking accessories is how it guarantees each attack will deliver a critical blow.
Where To Find The Genji Glove
The Genji Glove is arguably the easiest piece of Genji Armor to obtain in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. It can be found in M9-6-4: Biomechanical Threats by searching the chests spread throughout the area. The chest can be found in the western area, lying along the western edge of the path. Though it’s very easy to acquire, Zack will still need to defeat the Great Barlboro miniboss in the area if hopes to keep possession of it.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC.
