Overwatch 2 was released in early access this year and takes place a year after Recall, Overwatch’s first animated short that told the story of Winston. The game will have an ongoing plot focused on a second omnic uprising, exploring the possible person responsible for it. The plot of Overwatch 2 takes place all over the world, which led the game to introduce players to new characters of different nationalities, including the Support hero Kiriko.

Redditor okkoinu posted on the Overwatch 2 subreddit the concept art of skin for young Kiriko, giving the character a Cyberpunk 2077-esque look, but not forgetting the elements that characterize the ninja healer. This would not be the first time that CD Projekt Red’s game is remembered: one of Kiriko’s skins in Overwatch 2 bears a resemblance to a character from Cyberpunk 2077. In the concept art, Kiriko leaves the look inspired by the costumes of Shinto shrine maidens and appears with shorts, a white T-shirt, and a jacket of vibrant colors. The jacket has the same symbol on the back that appears on her outfit in Overwatch 2. The white shoes also have decorations in the same colors as the jacket. Click here to see more images.
Kiriko wears orange fingerless gloves, which refer to her connection with the Spirit of the Fox. Interestingly, in this concept art, Kiriko has knee guards whose colors and designs are also reminiscent of a fox. Another part of the skin that exploits this element is her cap, with fox colors and ears: on it is stamped the kanji “fox”, which originally appears on the character’s headband. The ofuda paper talismans, used to heal allies, have gained a modern design to accompany the skin. Her kunai gained colors and a similar appearance to a butterfly knife. Kiriko has been a popular choice of fan art creation, earning an anime-style animated short, chibi-like sprays, and a funny alternate Kiriko Ultimate in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 is at The Game Awards 2022 competing for the Best Multiplayer Game but had a launch marked by stability problems and bugs. Despite this, the game continues to announce new content such as the new hero Ramattra and the Battle for Olympus mode. After reaching 35 million players in its first month, Blizzard’s FPS has shown that despite its problems the game continues to attract player interest.
Overwatch 2 is now available in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
